I’m in Ohio with 5400 fencers (5 of which are my students) for the US national championships. 3 are hunting scholarships and we have a serious chance at a couple medals.

Well, this weekend looks like loads of fun.

Lots of wooded area got cleared out with a couple runs to the yard waste site. Deet became a must! Been out there since 9 a.m. (Yep, missed another lunch). That shower was pretty fantastic.

Strange this evening. I can watch flight traffic fly directly over the house from the SouthEast to Northwest everyday, all day. Im assuming flying into Midway or Ohare. Today for the last 30 minutes or so as they get just to the east of my house they then bank directly south. I see a little t sorm cell on radar to the west, but doesn't seem like a big enough threat to be diverting every plane back south. Cant say i ever recall them doing that before in my 10 years at this house.
Ive counted at least 30 planes in this time frame.

Vendor show in the old Crown Point Jail/Sheriff's house tomorrow (Sat) from 9-3. I will be there with my handmade lip balms, plus there will be the standard Tupperware, Lularoe, Scentsy, etc, and some other independent vendors.

Orders are down, so they're idling one or two of the blast furnaces.
We'll be casting only 8 hours a day.
Of course, that changes on a daily basis.
Rumor is, orders are picking back up.

Scored some lead at an estate sale up the road from us. So far have 25 lbs that I smelted down and probably another 10lbs in a casting pot with probably a laddle inside for 22 bucks. Then went to the flea market in michigan city and scored a bunch of 20ga. 75 if it 3in premium ammo, 100 rounds of rio 2 3/4 9 shot along with 5 boxes of 20ga slugs and maybe 75ish rounds of 12ga for 50 bucks. Picked up a Pacific DL110 reloader for $10 and a big box of brass for $20 that contained roughly 750+ of 38spl, 500+ 357mag, 400+ 45acp, 100+ 44mag and 750+ 32 h&r mag. If the brace prices are current i could flip it for over $200 after depriming and wet tumbling.

I was lazy. After grocery shopping this morning i spent 7 hours in and out of pool while smoking 2 slabs of ribs and drinking a bunch of Yuengling.

Now im gonna have to do the yard work i failed to do today, tomorrow and put off Winamac till next Sunday
