The kids and grand kids got soaked with the rain. Rain didn't stop the fire works in the neighborhood. Bed time have to get up for work in the morning.

No makeup show for Portage, and the fireworks have to be discharged. I guess you could go sit in your car. People are losing their minds online.

    Just got a text:

"We had a quick band of weather blow up and it is supposed to pass by 9:30. Our pyrotechnics are required to set the fireworks off tonight as it is too dangerous to reload them. So we are planning on firing them off on or around 9:30 this evening."

I'll put my display on either Friday or Saturday night now. Possibly tomorrow but more chances of thunderstorms then too. I dont know how these people around here are still lighting theirs off. How the heck do you even get them lit between the rain and wind

Managed to shoot all but 5 tubes and have probably 25 roman candles.

Being where you're at, you probably had an extra 30-45 minutes im guessing before rain hit you compared to Hobart. It unleashed here right about 8:30 or so. There's still people lighting em off right now. I'll stay dry and shoot em off within the next few days

This is why I work so hard.
Who else is slugging it out in the rain tonight?

I have one of those portable air conditioners that I got second hand so it's missing the water drain tube. I just rigged something up for now to drip the waiter into an empty plastic cat litter container. It's probably slightly bigger than 5 gallons and I've had to empty that thing at the end of every single day since this heat wave started. I'm talking almost ready to spill over the edge full.

On to other things, Holy crap Joe.

I wouldn't know, but I know how one bad one can change morale.
You are not kidding on that. I was merely happy because we have a great boss. Good is ok, decent isn't bad, but bad bosses suck life from the office. Glad that I hadn't had a bad one in awhile. Granted we had a horrible coworker that loved just draining fun, laughter, life, morale and everything else from the office. Was nice when he left.

Loved the fireworks after the thunderstorm, and all night and until 230 3 o'clock. Really loved it. Thanks to the Army, I realized I don't really need sleep anyway. Well, it's Thursday so the week is almost over.
