Now I know those guys on the pit crews are athletic, but I still don't want to see them in shorts and halter tops. ;)

Isn't that kind of sexist? If a pit crew member identifies as a woman, who is to tell him/her that he/she can't wear clothes for their identified gender? :)

I think the first time Richard Petty pulled into the pits and saw his crew wearing halter tops and Daisy Dukes, he'd immediately spin his tires peeling out of there and just hope that he had enough fuel and tire tread to finish the race.

I do no think Texas knew there was a race today. . . the stands are empty. They honestly look maybe 25 to 30 percent full.

    Way to go NASCAR.

I know no one that cares any longer about NASCAR...

Nascar needs more rednecks, driver altercations, less uniformity in cars, and less sponsor control.
Like many organizations it's become too restricted by rules, laws, and political correctness.
I wish Nascar would just change their name and be done with it.
Let someone come in and save it by returning Nascar to their roots.

There are no roots left to return to my friend. None.
If you want to see some real racing find a local sprint car/Midget racetrack and go see them boys get after it.
This new world thing sucks. I tried a few times to watch but there is nothing to watch.

I barely watched the race yesterday. It was just a snooze fest. I'm not even sure if there were any yellow flags, but if there were, they happened when I wasn't watching. I wound up watching the last hour or so of of "Con Air" on A&E... lots more action there! :):

What really sucks is that I'm at a point in my life where I can finally go to Daytona whenever I want to for the inaugural race each year and they've mucked it up so bad I no longer want to. We are however looking into attending the 24 hour race or at the least the 12 hour race at Sebring!:rockwoot:

WhatÂ’s happening on the circuit these days?

Are they getting closer to bankruptcy yet?

Whose going to start pocketing all that money before the well runs dry....

I am wondering how much longer NASCAR will limp along.

Bristol maybe 25% full. . . . ****ing Bristol. A place 10 years ago it was impossible to get tickets too. Some one needs to step in and clean house.

I don't know if it's the track "improvements" or the changes to the cars, but Bristol isn't "Bristol" anymore. It's become a short Texas or Michigan. In other words, it's lost that short track feel, especially when you can run any line you want. Why fight (read beatin' and bangin') for the bottom when you can run the middle or the top just as easily?

I liked it better when half the field of finishers were missing fenders.

They need to go back to what made it popular. Very few rules on the vehicles, and let the drivers get into it with each other.

There is no personality in the cars or drivers anymore. It's all very vanilla.

I'd like to see homologation come back as well. No more purpose built tube cars. Race STOCK cars with rolls cages.
