Who was the first to break 100 mpg?
My memory was more like, the Brough Superior could go 100 mph in 1925.

You mean, like on a 50cc scooter?
You're probably right. The 750 widow maker. It was dubbed the first superbike.
Well most of that happened when I was in HS, I grad in 76. With the Kaw KZ and the LTD1100 was a huge game changer then..
I would like to jailbreak a 50cc scooter. Get rid of limiter and add nitrous. That would be fun to crash on them tiny tires.
My uncle owned and operated the Kawasaki shop in Owensboro for years. Back in the mid 70's he was selling a ton of Z1 900's. I was working for him uncrating and prepping bikes 5 days a week. I would do 10 to 12 Z1 900's a week. Every week thru the summer. Funny thing is you could buy a used year old Z1 for about half of new. But people kept buying new ones.
My cousin bought a KZ 900 about 1979?
I asked him how fast it would go.
He handed me his helmet and told me
”Faster than you want to go”
I took it out for a ride and had it going so fast I felt like the wind was going to blow me off the bike.
I brought it back and after getting the bugs out of my teeth exclaimed
“Yes it does!”
