Sorry but that is about the LAST thing I would want to fight Zombies with. You need maximum tissue damage/crushing ability and .22 caliber rounds just don't have the oomph needed IMO.

They are among us, my friend. You live in Evansville- there's plenty of them there.

I will have to do some testing to see if the 22 is effective on zombies. I don't know if it's a matter of caliber or just shot placement, as only head shots can neutralize them. Preferably, you want a caliber that blows their heads clean off- but such a caliber makes head shots difficult. I'm going to stick with 00 on a tight barrel.

My testing with fresh coconuts (same properties as a skull) concludes that 7.62x39 and 45acp split them open very effeciently but .22 goes straight through (high velocity) or gets lodged in the back without exiting (subsonic/pistol). I have no doubt that a 12gauge 00 load would nearly decapitate anything under 10 yards but much less effective past 25...

ETA: I have not tested any .223 so I may bring a couple coconuts to Redbrush Sat...

For zombies you should definately use a pistol. You can do a lot more rolling and sliding with a pistol. Even when you are shooting zombies you should make every attempt to look bad ass!

Yes, you did good, especially for being completely unaware of a little thing called THE AK47 PLATFORM But, hey, I won't rain on your parade- you did good, beat me by a full 6/10 I'm claiming age and glasses as the difference. (OK, really the difference was that you got a good hit on the last steel while I took 2).

How do you know if it has 3 ports? Are they marked, different models or do you have to inspect them?
