The Lincoln hate thing should be another thread. This one is bad enough with what Chicago is doing to it's honest citizens.
    @indykid It is...

    Have fun.

To my understanding, it has already passed and is set to take effect on January first.

Yes it has already been passed two years ago and the final stage is now set to take effect on Jan 1. This bill was passed in the middle of the night on the deadline for passing bills coming within a couple hours. The vote came about one hour after it was passed out to the legislators, an 800 page bill so everyone had plenty of time to read and understand.
IIRC the Constitutional Carry bill last spring started as a different bill. Illinois is the master at this. Bills have to be read three times before a vote so at the start of a session dozens of "shell bills" are created with very non controversial subjects. This is so when they want to sneak something in usually at the end of a session they just amend the shell bill with the new bill's language and pass it before anyone even knows what is happening. Jim.

    .
Hopefully this results in the “drawing in“ of lifetime criminals to Illinois for permanent residency.

Eventually they will be robbing and shooting each other as all the other people will have left. I'm wondering what towns like Terre Haute will be like in 10 years. Maybe more like El Paso

Maybe if you just ask nicely they will stop shooting people.
If ONLY people had not thought of that earlier.
    Geez.

I expect more people near the border to move to border States.
And that means, many will be bringing their voting beliefs with them.

There are a couple comments like and they are spot-on.
The me of 40 years ago shrugged off liberal policies reasoning they won't work and voters will see that.
As I grew older I learned the truth of the old proverb: "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people."

The four of us moved (back) to Indiana in 2012, escaping the state of ill after 23 years. Three of us are conservative. The other one moved to SoCal. :)
    Great.

But I'd say that percentage wise, it doesn't happen often enough.
Look at what Californians have done in their exodus.
