How many 1911's do I really need?

Other than a few competitors I deal with, I haven't seen a worn out 1911 in years. We aren't shooting enough. Don't buy so many that they don't get used.

And I get brutalized when I say do not buy RIA as a first 1911 regardless of the price. Someone posted they had over 10K out the barrel no issues....I call Bravo Sierra

In the end, it's not about how many you need. If that were the case, the 8 cylinder engine would never have been so successful.

To be fair, I never shoot hot loads (and not that many factory, either... My loads are lighter than factory)...
I care for it (and all of them) the best I can. I'd actually have more through it if I didn't rotate shoot time between them all, but I do reach for it often when I go I the range.

Since you seem interested, I took some pics of the one thing that IS bothering me (it's not failures, but it does gripe me a little) and when I figure out how to get them off this phone, I'll PM them to you for your opinion. Take into consideration, I don't beat on it... this is just tons of regular shooting.

One of the local shop I frequent used to sell a butt load of the RIA's. They had a lot of complaints and do not push them anymore. That is where I formed my opinion about this brand. Warranty will tell you a lot.
I was never a fan of the fit and finish of the base model.

Send the pic to your e-mail...save it to computer and put it on Photo bucket or what ever server you utilize.

I was in the middle of just that. One set went...the other didn't. I'm trying to re-send them before I photobucket any of them.

As many as you can afford. I'm always looking for more and more 1911's to buy. But I'm just do effin picky about what i buy.
