Apparently that's too much for even twitter to overlook.

If he were to open the door and give them all a snootful of bear spray after they also tried to scare his kids by banging on the windows, I'd be OK with this. I'd acquit in a heartbeat if they would sue and I were on the jury. This type of intimidation is unacceptable and needs to be met with an appropriate response.

(Though I'll be honest, the darker side of me at first flashed to them deserving to be disappeared and fed to pigs. (SSS) But I quickly recovered and said "No, that's not an appropriate level of force." )

There are a number of "families" who would say that's quite appropriate.

Police stop an assault, then say, sorry we can't do anything.

Depending upon who gave the officers their orders to stand down, someone should lose their job(s). Perhaps everyone from the mayor on down to every officer that was present and on film witnessing the assault. Or ideally people being subjected to the assaults should start defending themselves with lethal force. I mean, since the police can't charge anyone with anything, it's basically a free for all, right? Seems fair to me.

    .
I was in Grade school in the '60's and it was that way then.

    Same here, all my life.
First hit, everyone turns to look at the commotion. Second hit is what everyone sees. I can't tell you how many times I've told my kids this while they grew up. That and it's always safer to wait until later when they're alone to get them back so there's no witnesses.

Same here, but the kid that started it usually got in trouble. The one that defended themselves might have gotten a talking to. Actually, in most cases, neither got in any real trouble. "Boys will be boys" and all that (of course this was prior to Gillette telling us this was "toxic masculinity"). Also in most cases, the incident was forgotten by both parties by the end of recess.

FIFY. You dont stand down officers and allow people to assault others on the street without repercussions.

I'm glad that wasnt me. I'd be like "OK, so you arent arresting anyone today? Thanks. you cops wait here." and go hunt down that Chris Farley lookin idiot and beat some a**. Hey, if they are leaving it up to the crowd, great. Its go time. Thunderdome, y'all.

You bring up an interesting point. The cops were filmed saying, "Our hands are tied." I wonder if, under the FOIA the person that "tied their hands" could be found out and publicly named?

Whole things sounds and looks sketchy?

    1. Police keep saying they cannot do anything unless they witnessed it ? Video does not work ? So what about shoplifters ?

    2. I bet $500 if one of us would have dropped the she/he squatch we would have been locked under the jail.

    3. Bad look for the 5.0 the Police are gonna start loosing support of the middle and right if they don’t act. Did anyone catch when the Cop said he has bills to pay when asked if he would confiscate Guns?

This is probably why I dont attend these events. My temperament would not allow me to stay cool if this happened to me or a family member or friend. I bet they would not stand down if I grabbed ahold of someone that assaulted me or my party. Heck I dont like strangers closer than arms length. Any closer I attempt to move away if I can't they get pushed away.

That's the way the Nazi's quieted dissent, attacking and beating anyone who dared voice disagreement.
Antifa is doing the same thing and the Democrat Party approves and supports their actions.

This should make it clear as to the intentions and end game in all of this.
    Yet so many approve.
