Reviewed one of these on their site. $150.00I am pretty much in a desert when it comes to OTA TV reception. Tried a few different antennas and ended up with a "Channelmaster." I have it mounted 20 feet up and it does better than the original 15 feet. I also have one of their signal boosters which also helps. Jim.
I have similar antenna, can’t recall the brand but I think it was $80 20 years ago at Menards. When we moved to Westfield 20 years ago I mounted it in my attic (single story house so its about 14 ft off the ground) in the southwest corner. Ran some coax to the basement, attached a cheap inline amplifier and ran coax to 3 bedrooms, living room and the main bathroom. All those tvs get most of the channels listed as strong and moderate, and a few of the ones labeled weak here: https://www.channelmaster.com/pages/free-tv-channels-westfield-in-46074Reviewed one of these on their site. $150.00
Not sure about mounting an external setup off the roof.
This may be a buy once cry once situation though.
I had a couple... The coax that came with it disintegrated. It would not hold up to the sun. The rotor striped out from the wind. Plastic parts got brittle from the UV.I've installed a couple of these (office, and family)

I should have said that.... LOLTake a look at the ChannelMaster 4228.
Then buy something similar.
Make sure to also use a LTE filter.
And....
There are no Digital antennas, RF is RF
I can see if they are having problems. I messed around with a few traps to see if I can get some long distance stations. It was a waste of time. I guess a learning experience. Using 2 antennas pointed different ways. Wanted to cancel out a semi local station to get a distant one on the same frequency. No go. (Combining antennas to use one receiver)When I have a viewer call in with reception issues, I always recommend an LTE filter first.
Not many of them call back.
Personally, I use https://www.rabbitears.info to see what RF channel a station is on.
BTW,
I take care of the WDRB and WBKI transmitters in the Louisville market.
If you are in a newer modern home with cable coax ran to your TV locations maybe consider putting a big powered antenna in your attic connected to the coax throughout the house? With streaming service companies sticking it to consumers theses days, I wanted to see what Ingo members are having success with.
Nope!Transmitters?? Do you get to climb towers??
I think the newer homes don't even run coax anymore. Also might be better with a powered splitter vs an amp depending on distance to tv towers. Over amplifying the signal is worse that a weak signal. I tried so many things learning I wore a path across the roof.If you are in a newer modern home with cable coax ran to your TV locations maybe consider putting a big powered antenna in your attic connected to the coax throughout the house?
I can't do heights, but the view would be awesome!!!Nope!
I hire the guys that do.
