It has been a stellar time in the shop since Christmas insanity has ended.
All the light Mods to the 4 1911's are done.
Waiting on Allen<M to get on my Stainless.
3 AR's in the "Q" and the 1st one I finished up today. Only testing remains.

    Mouse is in his zone.

I get this bathroom finished I'll be back at it myself. Waiting on stuff to dry is the worst.

    What mods to AR's?

Picked up the slide for the steel gun today. AllenM has whittled about every bit he can weight wise. This will be the last iteration of this project.
The windows on the shooters right allow you to see the extractor. If the extractor is removed you can see through the slide in the bottom.
You keep calling it the "steel gun", mouse .... what does that mean ? :dunno:

I seem to remember your issues with them now. I suffer severely from CRS.

I change optics like a woman changes shoes. Lol.
I figured out the issues. I am pretty sure. 1 I changed out the Harris BiPod for a different system. It is actually well balanced.

I recall those. Def have to bring it to the next GE for a sample taste. One of the reasons I love the AR so, is the versatility to satisfy my fickle nature. Always evolving.

I showed great restraint tonight. I stopped by the LGS I frequent and they have an M11-A1 in stock. It felt like a stellar carry piece but I went home without it. I already have a P229 Elite in 9mm, so it would not have added anything to the stable that is not already there. There was definitely a moment of ‘better to have a spare than to to need a replacement’. But, I figured that with the new 716 inbound, I should be budgeting for spare mags, a bipod and laser rangefinder.

That's pretty slick. Different but neat. The 1911s are looking good as well. Glad you have time to do other stuff besides babysit the urinating contests in the political section.

All of those are the real deal. Bottom is an American Pepperbox revolver built by Ethan Allen's company. Can only guess at the date, 1830-40 maybe. 32 caliber smooth bore, percussion fired.

Middle is an 18th century pocket flintlock, takes a 50 caliber soft lead ball and a charge of FFFg black powder. Everything works, but I have no idea on the date or who made it. The style is French.

Top is an early Colt 1849, known as the Colt Pocket, 32 caliber it was a big seller for Colt as nobody had anything like it at the time. A favorite of miners and other folks going west followed on by the equally poopulat 1851 Colt Navy in the same caliber.
LE it's great to hear from you and thanks for the history lesson. Nobody does it better!! Guys?
