Well, that depends on how bad the cal error is.
An error in the "zero", that's fine.
But if the gain is off, let's say 1/10th of a degree shows up as a degree, and that could make you s*** your pants.
From a normal temp to a pretty high fever is maybe 5 degrees delta. So a 10% error in slope means you’re maybe half a degree off if you’ve established a baseline. Most of those type thermometers made for measuring body temperature only have 0.5 degree resolution anyway.

But it serves the purpose well enough. It doesn’t matter if your temperature reads 103.5 when it’s actually 103.0217764528. It’s probably time to start thinking about taking something.

When I have a fever I usually let it go if it’s under say 102.5 to 103. It’s your body fighting off whatever. But at 103 it’s getting pretty uncomfortable and I’ll take small doses of aspirin.

I'm trying to find a way to argue about thermometers but I just don't know.

Oh I know...I only support the use of extra girthy rectal thermometers. Anything else and you're wrong.

My manager and her family got COVID early and all had very little issues with it. They tested recently and still have antibodies, at ~20 months. The jab/boosters are good for what, 6 months? For this reason I'm perfectly happy that I've just recovered from this Chinese bioweapon so that I'm protected better than any jabbed person out there.

I was good for about 21 months. Second time around went much smoother.

Well, the good old Covid finally made it's way thru our homes. Daughter and son in law got it first a couple of weeks ago. The daughter was sick a few days, son in law said he never was very sick but tested positive for several days...grand daughter was never positive but she must have had it at some point...how could she have not gotten it with both parents positive?

I still don't know if the wife and I had it.......we were sick, but to be honest we never took a test and it was not even close to the common flu I have had in the past. Just congestion mostly. None of us were vaccinated.

I still think this was the plandemic.......I have no doubt Covid is a real thing, but I think the politicians made it a lot worse than it should have been.

Post Covid (Omicron) sinus infections are a thing. I had a very mild Covid case right at Christmas, assuming Omicron, but the most annoying thing is the sinus infection ever since. It's not that big a deal, but like I said, annoying.

I have never had a sinus infection before that I can remember. Maybe, but nothing stands out. This stands out. 95% on the left, maxillary, maybe a little ethmoid and frontal.

Wife and I have both had sinus infections in the past but not after the last round of the vids.

Wow. Quite a run you had.

Right up there with a friend's 80ish grandpa who was sure he was dying one day. Convinced he was having a stroke, or had brain cancer. Went to the ER and they diagnosed him with a headache. He'd NEVER had one before.

I can't relate to either of you guys.

I truly can't remember the last time I had a headache. I'm sure it's been at least 20 years or more. DoggyMama gets them any time a weather front comes through it seems like.
