In the country, hopefully.
She mentioned she saw some patterns like that... that leave a sleeve/pocket area in the mask to add filters.

Well, we don't have a ton of elastic, but I just bought a bunch of hair ties from the dollar store. Should get the job done.
I just got 96 yards of 1/4“ elastic from amazon a month ago to repair some masks that I had that the elastic had decomposed; I’d be happy to share if someone needed some. I used about 12” times 2 for about 10 N95 masks so have plenty.
I also know that Community North Hospice and Home Health are in need, part of the hospital in name only so can’t get their resources.

Effect of SARS-CoV-2 infection upon male gonadal function: A single center-based study

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.03.21.20037267v1

This study provides the first direct evidence about the influence of medical condition of COVID-19 on male sex hormones, alerting more attention to gonadal function evaluation among patients recovered from SARS-CoV-2 infection, especially the reproductive-aged men.

e compared the sex-related hormones between 81 reproductive-aged men with SARS-CoV-2 infection and 100 age-matched healthy men, and found that serum luteinizing hormone (LH) was significantly increased, but the ratio of testosterone (T) to LH and the ratio of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) to LH were dramatically decreased in males with COVID-19.

Post recovery.

Well, Class B Misdemeanor, it’s a good thing that most any job outside of underwater basket Weaver is essential. Now if said basket weaver can weave tight enough to make mask filters...

LA Sheriff Closing Gun Stores Via Non-Essential Order, Also Cites First-Time Buyer Concerns

What a piece of work this Sheriff is. He pulls the classic, 'I'm a supporter of the second amendment, but ...'

According to Fox News, the sheriff, who is also the official director of emergency operations during times of crisis, said that the closures were, in part, motivated by an influx of first-time gun owners purchasing weapons. He later told the news agency that the increase in first-time buyers was creating social distancing problems at gun stores.

“We will be closing them, they are not an essential function,” Villanueva said, the news agency reported. “I’m a supporter of the 2nd amendment, I’m a gun owner myself, but now you have the mixture of people that are not formerly gun owners and you have a lot more people at home and anytime you introduce a firearm in a home, from what I understand from CDC studies, it increases fourfold the chance that someone is gonna get shot.”

Much lower sex drive and lower reproductive function. Less testosterone.

Once you have "recovered"

It was going to be a surprise, but yeah, I got you the Millennial Edition, skinny jeans, I Phone, and sense of entitlement. You’re on your own for the Mom’s Basement playset though.

If you weren't so drunk that I know it wouldn't hurt, I'd pistol whip you for even suggesting such a thing!

I don’t take it personally, but $1200 isn’t too much to pay for something I have with me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, that I rely on more than any other device I have ever owned.

It wasn't intended personally, but point proven then. A price hike wouldn't do anything to slow consumption on an already very expensive luxury purchase.

Look at new truck prices. It hasn't done anything to slow down the sales numbers.

Based on partial sales results in March, the report suggests retail U.S. auto sales for the month could fall by a range of roughly minus 25% to as much as 40%, vs. March 2019, said Tyson Jominy, vice president of data and analytics for J.D. Power.
“We expect it to get progressively worse through the month,” he said in a phone interview on March 19.

Kaiser Health threatening to fire nurses for wearing masks?

Northwestern Memorial fired a nurse for advising that surgical masks are not as effective as N95s?

I mean, sounds about right for some health systems I have interacted with, but geez.

Who is going to make the cars? They where already shutting down plants across the world since January due to a lack of parts from China,a problem that shipping shows has not been in any way fixed. No parts=no cars being made.

It is a much larger issue than a month or two shutdown to protect workers from Covid-19.

Then you have the actual lenders imploding en mass. Sure they are being given zero interest loans, but they are still loans. Commercial real estate is imploding. The 1.2 quadrillion derivatives market has already become the 780 billion derivatives market. Most of that loss happened to our financial institutions and to a lesser degree investing firms.

Prices are going to be in a tug of war. Lower available product, less loan availability will compete with lower numbers of employed people and reduced demand.
I think we will see inflation followed by inflation.(2+ months out).

This is not going to be a short term problem no matter what games politicians play.

I have been following a few instances like this. Know what the end result is? Medical workers quitting at a time they are needed most.
I do not blame them either.
