My last hotrod.. I'm in red..
The cars are nice and all that but how did you score all those parking spots in a row?:)

I went to the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI this past weekend. The ladies were at a wedding shower so my brother-in-law and I took my sons and nephew there. It is spectacular. There were some ultra-rare cars there. I will post some pics, only a sampling, but my phone is cheap, so they aren't great. There are several buildings including a Model A collection in a replica Ford dealership and a Cadillac collection in a replica Cadillac dealership. There are also replica Franklin and Lincoln dealerships that are part of the main building. I would like to go back in the summer. There are even more buildings open then.

3rd Mopar bought near Columbia City around 1994 for $1000, 1973 Barracuda, didn't run and rust bucket but inside was like mint. 360 with 727 and posi. Was so faded red it looked pink, and panels gone with rust. DSC02190.JPGNew plugs and wires and gas treatment and ran like a top for 10 years! Did all the body work and painted it myself, 1sts and last car I painted, still proud of that literal barn find....sold it in 2004 for $4000......what a idiot. But divorce and raising 2 sons and crap job. And no $$$ to keep throwing into it......man wish I had this one back. Some dealer from Kokomo came and got it and said he was going to restore it. Another dealer came down from South Bend and low balled me and told him to leave....he was a bigger idiot than me. I could almost cry thinking about this car....20 years driving Cuda's.....not a single other car makes my knees weak like a Cuda.

I'm a big fan of 2nd gen Chevelles, my dad had a '69 SS. But this 1st gen don't suck...

The guy that built it right down the road from me. He does incredible work from a small, nondescript building out in the country. Doesn't even have a sign in front. Does everything from hot rods and muscle cars to Auburn/Cord/Duesenberg, Bugatti, etc...

    LaVine Restorations

Their awards page is impressive as hell.

I don't have any pictures of my high school car, 1972 Javelin AMX. Stolen recovery, dad had a wrecker service. Put a 350 chevy and 350 transmission in it.

Had an opportunity to buy a Hemi 'Cuda in 1981, 4 speed. Guy had it parked because he got a girl pregnant, they got married, he couldn't afford to buy the gas for it. Offered it to me for $500.00. Didn't have it at the time.

I built this years ago using a 78 Blazer drive line and sold it on ebay, it didn't fit in my garage.

When I first starting working in my dad's restaurant, the catering van was a '67. Had a 283. It was a hoot to drive.

Had his restaurant logo/name painted on it. I used to get that thing up on three wheels around corners.

We ended up selling it to our next door neighbor who did a bunch of custom metalwork to it trying to turn it into a '70's era custom. He never finished it.
