The 57 up thread has the 150 trim not the 55 trim, The bigger trim came on the 210 and Bel air package. Here's the '57 molding (chrome trim)

Unless we are talking about different things?
Bingo. The 57 up thread has the 150 trim not the 55 trim, The bigger trim came on the 210 and Bel air package.
I've never seen one or heard of it, but I like the clean look. The 57 up thread has the 150 trim not the 55 trim, The bigger trim came on the 210 and Bel air package.
The 150 had the post style doors and small side trim. The 210 had the post with larger trim. The Bel Air had the hard top no post and the large trim.I've never seen one or heard of it, but I like the clean look.
That huge panel on the side and the enormous bumpers of the '57, just didn't look good to me.
That's one of the downfalls of the older caddy's; those huge bumper/grill combos. Some people like it, but I like a clean look.
For me it's '57 first followed very closely by '55 and '56 a more distant 3rd.I like the 55 nose on a gasser. Straight axle nose up bad MoFo.
I really like the 56 but my heart is with the 57. Like the one up thread that belongs to my buddy. The stance is enhanced by the side molding and the fins.
The original Car Craft 57 in the Hollywood nights is my grail car.
Is that '55 trim or a certain model/option on the '57?Not the molding I am referring to. It's 57b all the way. Unless we are referring to the same thing.
OK....Edit. I see what you mean. Thats not the trim piece I mean.
It's a '57 150. I had to look it up, as I too thought it was '55 trim.Is that '55 trim or a certain model/option on the '57?
That's a sharp car. Us 12 Speed and Custom in New Buffalo, Michigan built that and his wife's camaro. Here's one for you tri-5 fans. Looking at the other pictures in the article on dragzine it's a beautyView attachment 189367

Less is more for some folks.I've never seen one or heard of it, but I like the clean look.

I am one of them, but I grew up with the tri-5's and owned several 57's. 110's to BelAire's. They were plentiful and cheap easy to flip. For a long time we had 1 to 3 of them in various stages gwetting ready to sell.
yes sir.
That car was originally owned by another friend that was crew chief in a top fuel car.
I’m sure we might know a few of the same people then. Small World it is.Less is more for some folks.
