    Umm, I hate to ask (but will anyways). Why would you pay such a big gas bill in cash? So many other options. Check. Cashiers check. Credit card. Online payment direct from bank account.

    They would be easier and safer than having so much cash left unattended in the car...

    Sorry for the hassle. Hope they catch the guy.
