Ya. I was catching up on the thread and probably should have just read on.

When I'm behind in a thread, especially when it's pages behind, I'll usually read to the end, then go back to where I want to make a comment.

Sometimes in case a comment is already made, or I need to comment on that comment.
Also, because there might be a "in thread" warning, and I don't want to get the thread shut down.

I do the exact opposite, commenting where I feel like it as I read in. I've always just dropped a quick message to the mod who gives an inthread explaining how I operate and that having caught up that far will comply

Difference in style. When I was way behind after being gone on vacation, though, I just went back 24 hours in any thread I wanted to be active in. The hardest ones are really fast moving threads where you can be behind pages in just a matter of hours and the new entries keep accumulating at a rapid rate while you're trying to catch up

I'm an absent minded person so I tend to say it when I'm thinking it. But, I should probably read ahead a few posts. I mean I think it was the very next one for crying out loud.
