I agree. That said I have tried to analyze this situation and the benefits of doing it likely out weigh the negative of not doing it. If Trump wins the nomination most of his past voters will still vote for him if he does not do it. If he did do it, that would be fodder for a major msm smear, catalyst for the still scared mask wearers, and a huge campaign issue.The problem with that is that he's trying to get back into the White House. If he doesn't at least admit his advisors were wrong, it will impact his chance of that. I think he did great things getting Operation Warp Speed into motion, but was taken advantage of by the drug companies and Fauci. Not admitting that though, while running for President again, will definitely hurt his chances. Especially when we have other candidates who look like they could be good choices who weren't mislead in that manner.
I suspect as close as we are going to get was fervent framing of the topic recently tested at a rally, deep state.
