Any word on the number of injured? I haven't seen any reporting on the ones evaced but you know they were ****ed up.
Saw that somewhere but don't remember where or what the number was. I do also remember reading that the number of killed went up to 13 because 1 or 2 of those they evaced succumbed to injuries suffered in the explosion.

17 was the number a couple of days ago. Most were flown to Landstuhl.
Had to delete my whole thoughts on this.
If my son was aboard the transfer flight, I would prefer 46 nor anyone else responsible for this have anything to do with his return home. Fortunately, he is not. Fortunately, the post he's currently standing is nowhere near the biggest joint cluster in recent, or even distant, memory.

I feel like there is 13 families who have the right to determine his role in their receiving their fallen daughter or son.

Many 9/11 families have not been in favor of 46 coming to Ground Zero in 2 weeks. I hope their wishes are honored.

Just saw a Fox News alert that images of 46 receiving 11 of the 13 fallen are starting to appear.

The controversy was not allowing just any "journalist" take the photos.
Watch a bunch of them operate, that's why.
    Photos were always taken.
i found the article, for 20 years it was not allowed. Obama lifted the restriction in 2009 but ONLY if the family allowed the release of the photo.

Not saying that is STILL the way it is, but that's as much as I found out

Fox News has video of the last 3 or 4 remains being carried from the aircraft to cargo vans. One of the females in the group with 46 fell out prior to the end and is seen being carried away by a few others nearby.
Possible reasons for 11 instead of all 13:
    1. 2 families chose to opt out of sharing this moment with 46.
    2. Too horrible to elaborate.

Those pulling the strings have to time it right. Kamala will hide (variation on the Biden Basement Campaign.) If not, she'll lose the general election in a landslide due to her incompetence and general unlike-ability. She didn't make it to the Primaries as a POTUS candidate in 2020.
I think it's fair to say that Kamal is less liked than even Hildebeast. The only way she becomes president is the death of Biden.

    Sure, by some.

By the *vast* majority. It's been shoved in the population's face again, which is good. People are putting on a show of concern for casualties again, which is good. But it'll wear off, just like it did after 9/11. It's not like we didn't take casualties last year. Or the year before. Or the year before. Where's the "reserved for..." tables in those years? News articles? Concern about what politicians did or didn't arrive to see the bodies repatriated? No, it'll wear off again before the next election cycle. Smart opponents will try to remind a population with the attention span of a fruit fly about it and may stir it up again, but this will not be a lengthy change in public consciousness of a 20 year war that was largely ignored at home.

    Ummm...

and then there are those pesky facts.....

As posted earlier, I am looking for when they arrived or landed. Someone posted earlier they had a relative escorting the bodies. Perhaps they could provide insight as to when they arrived in the States.
My understanding is that they landed on yesterday at Dover. My source could definitely be wrong.

2021 was my 9th anniversary ritual of a round of 6 for some soldiers who died on 3/29/2011 during the second deadliest year there. The first year, I had to get a bar manager's permission to do it because of the bar's policy limiting alcohol purchases to 1 drink at a time. Add one for myself and toast each glass -sitting next to a soldier's photo- before slamming mine and walking out. Their names are 6 of 26 names on a KIA bracelet I wear every day. IF their battalion made a PTSD bracelet, the suicides outnumber the KIA.

Typically, escorts back home are designated military personnel. Families are flown to Dover from their home of record and they become part of their fallen warrior's journey home from there. While at Dover, these warrior's remains will be prepared by civilian embalmers for the next leg of their journey which is returning home for funeral services and burial. From today's dignified transfer ceremony, their stay at Dover will last a few more days and possibly longer.

The pesky fact that the ********** shouldn't have even had a reason to have been there in the first place?
The blood is on his hands.
This isn't the "presidential moment" you are hoping for.
Outrage doesn't mean Alpo was wrong. Nor did he make a claim of a Presidential moment. Of course you could ask him if that's what he intended, but that doesn't fit your style of assuming

You would make a good democrat by your own descriptions.

He's jumping in to defend his boy... when everyone knows it's a undefendable ****up.

He voted for it and is trying to defend it. Where the hell have you been?

Also, don't insult me like that.

Apparently someone thinks that this place is lacking without one like Kut and it’s their duty to fill the position.
