I'm having a hard time tonight.

I'm very emotional and upset. I watched (standing at attention in my living room) the respectful return of remains at Dover for the 13 who died a few days ago. I stood at attention for the entire 30 minutes of bodies being removed from the aircraft and placed into vans with tears in my eyes. It tore into my heart. It didn't have to be this way. I don't know to whom the blame lays, but somebody somewhere really ****ed up. I never spent a single day in Afghanistan. But those that did are my brothers and sisters, and they did not deserve to be the result of bad decisions by our leaders. One of them was a Marine from here in Bahrain. I swear that I have seen her before, either in the Marines spaces when I was doing a site visit, or maybe in the NEX, but I recognize her. 25 years old, and life cut short

Another was a 23 year old Marine female who just on 20 August was photographed holding an infant at one of the gates, and posted "I love my job."

5 of them were only 20 years old.

The oldest one was 31

Just babies ..... but doing what was asked of them by their country. But their country failed them in planning and execution, and I'm mad, and sad. I still have tears in my eyes, and I'm so upset.

No one should have to see a flag draped coffin as a result of incompetence....
