I had the 9mm version for a little while. Never had a problem and once I figured out that I needed to bury the front sight it was dead on!
I have a few friends with the 45 and again, never had any problems. I'd feel good about either one if I were you.

I enjoy searching the pawn shops myself. Finding something good at a pawn shop and finding it at the right time with the right price is awesome. I think Bloomington's pawn shops definitely have some good deals here and there.
