Or... there are a lot of Dems that REALLY want to see Trump take the primary, because they think he'll loose in the general. They spent million$ on this tactic in the midterms.
Seems to me that the candidate doesn't matter at all. As long as he/she can show up and poke the button for the party, he doesn't need to think or be engaged. When he/she can vote by proxy, showing up isn't even required.
Regarding the OP - I hope SCOTUS comes down strong against the SEC and the FTC on these. I'm deeply concerned about growing exec branch powers. All the three letter agencies seem to be gathering unsafe and unchecked power. The courts must assert their jurisdiction as the judges, not allow the...
This thread sure took a turn, but while we're here...
I vote towards (away from) an outcome, not a politician. In the broadest terms possible, I care about: Liberty, Security, Prosperity, and a Level Playing Field.
In most elections I find myself facing two bad choices, and voting for the...
I applaud you're getting them to come around! That said, you would not be doing them any favors to let them just use your range without some basic instruction. This is real, and there's an order to things.
- Make the decision. Understand the responsibility.
- Get some training - The basics...
I don't really care about the "Red Wave". I just want the Red to stop the crazy Blue. To me, it just sounds like a different party getting power. I'm more excited about the underlying cause - 1.) some people are starting to pay attention, and starting to question; 2.) some people who already...
Could it be that the experts in Israel, with the near perfect climate, just know better? But hey, "if those dumb Americans feel better buying our pet rocks, who are we to tell them no?"
What about the impact of wind turbines on wildlife?
Lots of dead birds piling up. They block the building of a factory because of some endangered insect, but they are okay with decimating birds? Just one more blatant hypocracy that no one calls them out on. I'd LOVE to see an onslaught of...
Thanks for that clarification. She is, and was before we met over three decades ago. (It can't be that long, can it??)
I'm cool with were your pointing, especially with that very important addition. I've never, never, been overly concerned about protecting the "rights" of non US Citizens...
So, if my wife, who legally immigrated here almost 40 years ago, wants to send some money to her mother to help with medical expenses, she shouldn't be allowed to? My wife works legally, pays her taxes, and her money belongs to her; but she can not spend it how she wishes? How about Americans...
Pray for Peace. Prepare for... your prayers may not be answered.
I can not begin to comprehend God's will, but I think we are supposed to try. I wonder if peace is the outcome He's got in mind.
Funny... once had a Cpt do the exact same thing. We were on the wire, Korean DMZ. He was an a--hat. I didn't explain $h-t, and was happy to snap a salute every time I saw him, until another officer noticed it and took him aside for a chat.
Well, since I don't get to vote in Hawaii, it really doesn't matter - beyond a little mental 'stimulation' maybe.
This becomes more real for me if she a contender for something like the Oval Office. It might be fun to see her build a brand as the 'Trump' of the left, running for President, and...
I agree with you - if the contract is created by a good attorney, and care and almost anal-retentive care is taken by the signing parties to insure that it does correctly and completely cover what was intended. The document stands on its own. The more skilled the writer, the more successfully...
Agreed, but there is often language used in the contract, that is later debated. How often have the courts looked to contemporaneous writings etc. to determine the intended meaning of the language (Constituion?). Meanings of words debated in prior cases, that the contract parties never knew...
That seems logical and reasonable. However, what defense attorney tells his client "Well, if you don't want the police to misunderstand you, then make sure you use a lot more words, and be as articulate as possible. If you can only communicate in writing, and avoid audio and video, even...
