Looking for a different type of hunting trip and could use suggestions

Ever done a Antelope hunt? Very fun hunt, can be spot and stalk depending on where you go. NE Wyoming has lots of private very large ranches that you could pay a trespass fee. Some of the landowners may let you roam and some not. I believe the Thunder Basin National Grasslands is a public place...

Input for setting up a reloading room

Assuming you will have a chair of some sorts at your bench area, my vote would be for the rectangular bench. L shaped bench would make for pretty tight quarters. Not sure what the clearing barrel is but that is where my chair would reside when I was not using it in this scenario. I would...

      Lyman Trimmer Qn

At one time I was considering cutting slot out of the side of a deep well socket to allow the crank handle a place to sit but found a good price on the power adapter and scrapped that idea.

      Lyman Trimmer Qn

I had the same issue and believe I was applying too much force. Now I apply light force and just let the drill do the work.

IIRC, the cutter head must be removed first, you will find a set screw on the side of the cutter.

      358 Hoosier Case Forming

Agreed, I read your post incorrectly and thought you were talking a completed round. Good to hear you figured out what the trouble was.

      358 Hoosier Case Forming

Have you inspected the neck and shoulder / neck junction areas of your formed brass for shiny spots indicating contact in the chamber? Could it be possible that the brass is too thick? I know that I had that issue with mine. I have heard that some of the new WW brass is now thicker than older lots.

      My .35 Rem "short" project

Indiana regs state a maximum case length of 1.80" to hunt Deer with a CF rifle and the 35 Rem case length is, IIRC, 1.910".

      Brass Cleaning

I have been using hot water in a bowl with a small dash of dish soap and a tablespoon of citric acid. Half to one hour with some agitation once or twice and they are clean and shiny. I am told that the citric acid passivates the brass and that process keeps the brass from tarnishing. If I decide...

      My .35 Rem "short" project

Nice! Do you know what fps are you getting with that setup? I have heard good things about that SSP bullet. You getting pass-throughs out to the 200 yard mark?

Lee factory crimp die and the .35 Rem "short"

Is there a way to do a cannerlure without the expense of the $100 tool?

Lee factory crimp die and the .35 Rem "short"

Yesterday I got out to the range to make final scope adjustments to my Marlin 336 .35 Remington "short". Since I had never played with crimping outside of the cannelure, I wanted to see if my crimped rounds would stay the same length. I measured 5 rounds and wrote the lengths on the case. Four...

      My .35 Rem "short" project

Well, thanks to all the wildcatters on this site I now have another project rifle. About 3 weeks ago and after reading about some here who had done this, I decided to jump in on the .35 Remington "short" program. Amazingly everything came together quickly and about a week later I had...
