      .358 Hoosier Brass

Depends on what reamer version was used to make the chamber. My current rifle chamber was cut from a later version reamer that AJ Brown has. Basically this reamer has a slightly larger diameter and longer neck to allow for some variances in the thickness of the brass and affords me some room...

.35 Remington Short (1.80") for Deer

Hello cedarthicket, good to hear from you!! Glad to see you are tinkering with a new project and looks like some good results. The deer better be careful in your woods this fall. I have not had any time this year to play around with my 336 / 35 rem short, will just have to use the load I put...

      help with fish identification

Actually with the mouth closed, if the upper law extends past the eye it is a largemouth. If it does not extend past the eye it is a smallie. Kinda hard to tell in the OP's photo as the mouth is open.

      Sitting or Standing?

Both, probably more standing than sitting, just depends on what function I am doing at the time.

Anyone planning a Elk hunt this year?

I was hoping to make another trip West for Elk in colorful Colorado but it just isn't in the realm of possibilities for me this year. I was fortunate last fall during my Muley hunt to sit for dinner with a group of locals in CO at their camp for dinner. They invited us to dine on fresh Elk...

      Free: Free: Air Hockey Table

Has some wear but the table is structurally sound and the blower motor works just fine. The score keeping electronics work intermittently, no rhyme or reason that I could ever figure out. Pickup in Pittsboro only. It is down in my basement and I will assist getting it out but will require some...

      Opinions on trimmers

I use the LEE hand trimmer for most. I have a Lyman trimmer that I really like as well, put the power adapter on it for use with a battery drill. I use it for my 358 Hoosier and 35 Rem short projects. I am a low volume loader as well. If I was high volume I would have to invest in something...

      Hottest woman in hunting

I have REALLY enjoyed this thread and glad everyone kept it clean and alive. Out of all the beauties posted here, for me, Eva is the hands down winner!! Beautiful, hunting is a way of life for her, her father is a great hunter and I really like her choice in binos! :D

      need a new deer processer.

This has been my procedure for a few years now, no matter what the temps are. I try to skin and quarter or debone as soon as possible. The skinning process is much easier when the critter is still warm . I place all the meat in a cooler on top of ice with the drain open so the meat doesn't sit...

      Just leased a place...now what

Get to know the conservation officer who patrols your area, his phone # on speed dial as well as the local law enforcement. I know some guys invite local law enforcement folks to hunt on their leases in exchange for some coverage. Maybe invite someone in on your lease. ;)
