If you want to get a WASR (or any AK), give it a look over, check the sight alignment, gas block, mag wobble, the fit of the pieces, yadda yadda. If it looks decent, it ought to be just fine.
People watch Law and Order or other police/crime shows on TV. They usually take place in New York or Los Angeles, where firearm laws are different from what the rest of the country does stupid.
I haven't shot the Sig, but I am quite happy with my G26. I can pretty well keep my shots in a 4" group at 7 yards, and I'm sure the gun could do better if it didn't have me behind the trigger.
I wouldn't carry a gun then. I don't carry a gun "for fun," and I'm not a collector. If I didn't need to protect myself or loved ones, then I wouldn't carry a gun.
Are there, or will there be a selection of machine guns and other NFA items to rent at the range?
I know I'd be interested in machine guns, SBRs, suppressors, AOWs and such to try out. Then I'd only need my arm twisted a little bit to buy some.
