reason i ask is because i have a few 1911's that could use some mill work. sights....not trying to cause any trouble though, ive been corrected a few times by the mods myself.
i do beleave you could milk at least 10 good posts out of this thread. 50 posts dosnt take long. before i hit the 50 mark i didnt really see a reason for the rule. i could and did pm back then. thats been a few years ago. So anyway. get to adding posts, wont take long at all.
the lasar is a gimmick and there triggers suck, buy they do funcion well which is the most important thing, if your looken into getting one i consider them a good gun and there worth the money. i can pick on up for 400 bucks new.
if your looken for a 380 i would go with a sig 238 or a colt poctetlite. im not a reall big ppk ppk/s fan. if you like a laser then i would go with a smith n wesson body guard. they shoot well but have tearible triggers.
that is high, i guess they have to make money. and i dont know what they paid for them... they might be the only one in town that has them, i hate to bash peoples business habits. but do agree that is high. ive seen worse else where though.
supply and demand. sometimes the msrp dosnt really reflect what a gun sell for. sometimes after a gun is made and production is ended the prices jump. look at the colt anacondas. i remember when they were being produced buying them for 700 new and used ones went for around 500-600, i dont know...
i use wilson etm alot on my colts kimbers springfeilds ect. wilson mags are my choice. buy to be totally honest, ive never have issues out of my factory colt or kimber mags.
glock. who said glock. every thread turns into glock vs 1911 somehow.... having said that, get a glock 21 and feed what every ammo you want every time.
i steel feed ramp is great, I still perfur the ramp on the barrel like on most all pistols. all high end 1911 makers all have one thing in common. they want to make money. they have made nice 1911's, and they have made junk. alum feed ramps suck. but keep shooting your kimber, see if you have a...
hollow points cant damage an alum feed ramp, i have a mico eagle, great design but that frame was alum and before long the rounds would hang up on feed ramp, it had a big bur, i smoothend it out then shot most fmj. i was shooting some hollow points which had a very big sharp opening. if you...
that wilson looks very nice. if you want a super dark finish that will last, then i would look into cera coat or some other type of bake on finish rather then just blueing.
sounds like you may not have enough pre creep or pre travel. dos it the trigger have a short reset??? if you have done a trigger job and goten rid of the pre travel and over travel this will occur.
