There's no reason to alter society completely over a percent or 2 of risk.
Sure there is.
Operant conditioning and control.

Is that what happens with all the other mandatory things in this country? Some were calling for it to be "mandatory".
What happens when you refuse something mandatory?
Jail or a gun.
Is that what happens with all the other mandatory things in this country?
yes.Is that what happens with all the other mandatory things in this country?
ALL LAWS eventually are backed up by the power of the State.
This power, is the power to lock up, or kill.
What laws are not?
Holy crap man! That is terrible. I am very sorry to hear that.I get approx 8 migraines a month.
Like a midget is in my skull, stabbing the back of one eyeball with an ice pick.
Usually the right one, but sometimes the left.
Of those, maybe 2 times a month it is so bad it involves me puking my brains out. Often for 24 hours.
To put it mildly, it sucks.
And it's not IF I get a migraine.
It is WHEN I get a migraine.
Now I take Botox shots for migraine. Every 3 months, I get 30 shots in my skull, neck, and shoulders.
Here's the thing.
It doesn't make me "immune".
I still get them.
Only, I get less than half of them, maybe more like a quarter of them.
And most of them are at the end of the 3 months, just before my next set of shots.
I was scheduled to get shots this coming Thursday (before my boss scheduled an extra shift).
I have a migraine right now.
But...
Instead of being stabbed in the eyeball with an ice pick, it's more like it's just being "poked" with a finger.
And it only gets bad enough to puke maybe every other month.
Immunity doesn't mean 100 percent you won't get it.

Have you tried other treatments to try to find something that is most effective for you? Like CGRP antibodies?
Right, the Triptans are vasoconstrictors and interfere with pain pathways but they do have a risk of stroke.I used to treat with relpax, or a few others. I think the "family" is called triptopans. Maybe mbills can correct me.
But they have a risk of stroke.
And I had a stroke in my right eye. Lost the top halfof the vision in that eye.
So no one will prescribe those to me.
So then I took excedrin migraine. But it wasn't effective. I took them like candy.
But they are bad for the stomach.
Came home from work and filled my toilet with blood.
Enough to lose consciousness.
Hospital found an ulcer in the bottom of the stomach, ate into a vein.
Attributed to the excedrin.
So, then to botox.
It helps. And I treat with excedrin, but I limit to 1. And a mountain dew for the caffeine to help.
There are new treatments. But I don't want to try them.
Maybe if mine get worse.
But for now I live with what I have. Botox and excedrin.
Say what you will but this has a place.Have you tried this? I had a co-worker that was helped bigly with acupuncture.

I don't know if I'd say "satisfied".Right, the Triptans are vasoconstrictors and interfere with pain pathways but they do have a risk of stroke.
The CGRP antibodies are a group of fairly new (2018) treatments, some of the first group of meds actually aimed at migraines from the beginning and not repurposed from other treatments, but as long as you are satisfied with the status quo, that is the main thing.
Nope. Haven't tried it.Have you tried this? I had a co-worker that was helped bigly with acupuncture.

Examples that do not?
First thing to come to mind are seat belt laws and helmet laws. Very similar in nature actually as they are intended to save lives, but you won't be going to jail or executed for not complying.ALL LAWS eventually are backed up by the power of the State.
This power, is the power to lock up, or kill.
