Bingo...I grew up reading Louis L'Amour books...still have about 75 of them...wishing the kids would embrace reading them, but the iPhone and internet interferes too much with individual growth and maturation nowadays!I read way too many Louis L'Amour books growing up to not have lever guns as an adult. I took one to steel challenge awhile back and was impressed with the lack of recoil, pointability, and smooth action. It's a well thought out piece of art.
Speaking of smooth,
Or any of the Browning spec'ed Miroku built rifles.Try a Miroku Winchester 1873 in .357. Butter smooth and fast. Finest lever I've ever owned.
People love those Henry 22's, right up until you put a BL22 in their hands. As much as I hate to say it Miroku Winchester/Browning make some of the finest lever guns of the ‘73,86,92 and the venerable 95.
I'm so bad at this I think I have one?? Nope, just checked-it says Taylor's/Uberti. How do they compare in quality? I have several Uberti items but haven't ever been around a Miroku.Try a Miroku Winchester 1873 in .357. Butter smooth and fast. Finest lever I've ever owned.
