    Purgatory
A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I spotted a stranger in my yard. Funny, I thought to myself, I live in the middle of no where so anyone here did so purposefully.

I loaded my 1927 Winchester Model 12 assault weapon and I was ready for business. I crept to the edge of the porch and drew a bead.

Not wanting to alarm the trespasser to my presence, no warning was given, the trigger was gently squeezed and BOOM!

I clinched my jaw as the pellets tore through his frontal lobe destroying any trace of what once was a face.

By the time my grandson hung another silhouette target the adrenaline rush had almost subsided.

Yep, that one never got away...
