Just wondering if any Ingo'ers regularly carry or have carried a Sig P226?

Seems to be a bit beefy for an EDC. Thoughts?
I'd say you pretty much answered your own question. They are great guns. Were carried back in the day, and still are to a
lesser extent. Plenty of other lighter, equal, or higher capacity options out there and some
    in smaller packages.
If you are expressing concern over the size and weight now it will likely be a self fulfilling prophecy.
I sold mine and went the polymer route and have not regretted that.
    YMMV

I still don't understand why the NCIS special agents on that show always remove their guns and other gear while in the office.

It must be some kind of paddle that he can slip in his wasteland

LOL, That one got past me. It was supposed to say wasteband not wasteland.
Well anyway, don't you suppose that it might be uncomfortable to wear a full sized hand gun all day in the office when you don't really need to?
Personally I would like to know what kind of holster he does wear.

A lot of people do it! And, you really don't know when you'll need it or if you'll have time to get it from a drawer!

They probably do have paddles, though.

Speaking of P226s . . . I'm considering getting a couple in single action only for carry. I'll need to win a lottery, but I think they would work for me.

I carry my 226 all the time. In a Galco C.O.P.

I carried it when I worked for Bloomington PD. Great gun, but I'm just not a fan of DA/SA. If you're a smaller frame person, cc'ing it won't be fun. I had no problems doing so.

    I'm 5'5" And weigh 150lbs . I dont have any issues carrying a 226

I will say that while I carry my P226 Legion SAO and usually don't mind it, I seriously wish Sig would consider making a P229 Legion SAO. To me that would be an awesome carry gun.

A business transaction related to this topic may or may not have occurred in or about Plainfield Shooting Supplies this afternoon. Allegedly.
