My first was a Remington target master. Single shot .22lr, long and short.
My grandfather gave it to me back in 1986 or so. I still have it and it is still a tack driver. Something that I will never part with along with his ruger single six.
Just like the post I made in the shotgun thread my grandpa bought me my first rifle, a Marlin .22 which was also my first firearm when I was 13. My mom was not too thrilled that her dad bought me a gun but she got over it. Oh, I still own it.
A lot of rifles have come and gone from my "collection", but I still have my first, that Model 60. I haven't shot it in several years, but can't bear to part with my "first gun". She's nothing pretty to look at, not even accurate IMO, but she's got a place in my heart. Hope to pass her on to my one of my kids one day.
