2. Feel free to leave your guns with me.

Sis in law and her brothers visited Norway a few years back. They encountered panhandlers. The locals told them to just ignore the mooches. Question: in such a paradise, how could there be panhandlers?
Seriously cant understand why Americans that complain about the United States not being like some European countries,Australia,Canada ect, don't make more of a effort to move.
Thrill of the hustle, or at least that is what one guy told me after he hit me up with the same story three days in a role. I told him he needed to improve his memory. Start up a conservation, and basicly he likes the hustle and in some strange sense sticking to the "man". Why I was the "man" I could never figure out.Oh, I can answer that question. At least in Germany, and not counting gypsies, panhandlers tend to do it by choice. Sounds unbelievable, yes, but there are people that like that lifestyle despite the govt being more than willing to take care of them.

I was one of the many who were laid off in Norway (because of) the low oil prices and a reduction in offshore work,” one worker from Australia wrote to newsinenglish.no recently. “I am on a skilled immigrant visa and have paid 38- to 50 percent tax to Norway for the last 10 years. I live (in Norway), have a daughter born in Norway, a house and worked for a Norwegian company. I applied to NAV for unemployment benefits … my application was rejected … the appeal was rejected too.”
Why should he move? He's American. Americans don't tuck tail, we try to change the things we don't agree with. I mean the Crown could have easily said to our founding fathers "don't like it? Move to France," but we know how that ended.
Kut, I suspect you're going for another goat **** as today's entertainment. Maybe it's fun being contrary to what INGO believes kinda like sport.
Change the things we disagree with? There's a way described in the constitution for changing it to just about anything the people want. The people who want socialism here need to use that process to change it. But it's intentionally not easy because the authors of the constitution had the foresight to make it difficult enough such that the people really, really need to want it changed to make it happen.
So, to the people who want socialism, either change the constitution by the prescribed process, or f*** right the hell off to somewhere that has socialism.

Kut him some slack. Cut has said before, he admires certain aspects of socialism. He's probably just empathizing with a fellow traveler.
I certainly do admire certain aspects of socialism. I didn't live through the era when simply saying the word brought about knee jerk fear.
Fear? Don't confuse repulsion with fear.
What's that repulsion based on?
Oh, and one should point out, that Sanders is a democratic socialist.... which believe it or not, most people probably are, but just don't know it, and would be afraid to admit they were, given that socialism is somewhat of a pejorative in the United States.
So you don't believe the constitution was designed to protect society from the whims of a theives? We were talking about Bernie Sanders' thoughts on socialism in Norway right. He's running for president in the legal, proscribed by the Constitution method, right? He's also a proponent of socialism. If people agree with the aspects of his plan, then vote him in, and see if they can implement the system they want. So yeah, socialist that want socialism don't need to go anywhere if they believe they can make the change here.
Oh where to start? Too much to peck in on my phone. But it goes something like this. The US constitution does not define or permit positive rights. It protects individual liberties. You want the right to other people's stuff you should have to change the constitution in the prescribed way to do it. It shouldn't be just so easy as to stack the courts with ideologues who will just declare it legal. We're supposed to be a nation of laws not a nation of the whims of men and women--and of the other 56 official facebook genders. What's that repulsion based on?

The government wasn't granted the power to redistribute wealth. It just does it with the courts' permission.I believe the constitution was designed to allow people to choose the govt that they wanted. As evidenced as the vast amounts of tyranny our govt has observed, under Constitutional approval.
