I would go with Tony Stark. Money, business savvy, popular, and owns more cool **** than Elon Musk.Maybe somebody who's already wealthy, based and business-savvy to run it. I wonder how busy Paul Buffoni or Kurt Schlichter are
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Donald Trump Jr.? Seriously? Yeah, No. Big no. The Trump family is hauling around too much baggage these days...

Need an Exec VP that can run it like a business and a spokesman that doesn't carry other economic, social or political baggage into it. Someone like Oliver North would be a good spokesman. LaPierre turned all the attack dogs loose, though, when North questioned the financial integrity of the NRA. I wouldn't bet on being able to bring him back to the fore as the public face of the organization.
Longtime NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre found liable in corruption trial - Washington Examiner
Jurors spent five days deliberating and came to their decision Friday, bringing an end to the six week civil showdown between the NRA and the governmentwww.washingtonexaminer.com
The New York jury found that LaPierre “violated his statutory obligation to discharge the duties of his position in good faith,” and that his actions cost the NRA $5.4 million. He has already paid more than $1.3 million back and was ordered to pay the rest back to the organization.
“This case is about corruption: misuse of funds spent on jets, black cars, five-star hotels, hundreds of thousands of dollars of suits, multimillion-dollar deals to insiders, payments to loyal board members, and pervasive violations of internal controls,” Connell told a jury in a packed New York City courtroom.
But how many lawmakers were his guests on the trips? I dunno."...LaPierre, who announced his resignation just days before the start of the trial, billed the NRA more than $11 million for those private jet rides and spent more than $500,000 on eight luxury trips to the Bahamas over a three-year span.
Prosecutors said he also authorized $135 million in NRA contracts to a vendor who paid for LaPierre to go not only to the Bahamas but also to India, Greece, and Dubai and gave him access to a 108-foot yacht...."
I guess I didn't realize legislators in the Bahamas, India, Greece, and Dubai needed to be lobbied for our gun rights?
While no doubt the NY AG was trying to use her power and personal hate for guns to go above and beyond fighting any organizational corruption inside the NRA it actually worked out to our favor.Yes, supposedly the verdict is about internal corruption, SUPPOSEDLY! The fact remains that the sleazy Democratic AG used her platform to attack the 2nd Amendment in furtherance of the conspiracy by all Democrats to eliminate the 2nd Amendment by any means necessary. That includes, obviously, crippling one of the historically most powerful and successful gun lobby groups in the USA.
The Democrats and their woke misguided liberal sheeples are thereby edging closer to their communist utopian dream of gun registration and ultimately confiscation. Now maybe the NRA can rebuild and start anew by hopefully reincorporating in a more friendly Second Amendment State with new executives and a slimmed down Board of Directors that is not intimidated by any one person and driven by proper corporate governance principles for the benefit of the members of the NRA.
Yes, ultimately, LaPierre and the other executives had to forcefully be shown the door. Unfortunately it came down to litigation brought by a Democrat controlled State Government that is completely anti Second Amendment.
Don’t challenge the deeply held beliefs of those sucked into the lefts takedown of the NRA. It may destabilize the universe…But how many lawmakers were his guests on the trips? I dunno.
This would work.Until the NRA life members who elect the board have candidates to vote for for board membership who really want to clean house nothing is likely to change.
The NRA not being dissolved is good because it is the focus of the anti-gun crowd as being their enemy.
If the NRA does nothing to fight OR support anti-gun legislation it will not detract from the organizations which are actively fighting for gun rights. I have not donated to NRA since they lobbied for the ban on new machine guns.
I would prefer they go back to their roots of education, training, and competition and leave the politics behind. I would also like to see them mail the annual financial report to life members as the used to do before Wayne LaPierre became EVP.
Are you a voting member?Until the NRA life members who elect the board have candidates to vote for for board membership who really want to clean house nothing is likely to change.

Yes. I have tried to vote for candidates who would do the right thing but they never won...Are you a voting member?
Me too. Tried to get Adam Kraut elected several years ago.Yes. I have tried to vote for candidates who would do the right thing but they never won...
Se must keep trying.Until the NRA life members who elect the board have candidates to vote for for board membership who really want to clean house nothing is likely to change.
Right! The anti’s do not even know the names of other 2A organizations. The NRA not being dissolved is good because it is the focus of the anti-gun crowd as being their enemy.
There are no organizations that are seriously fighting anti-gun legislation at even a modicum of what the NRA does with a national footprint. The others are mostly after the fact court challenges. If the NRA does nothing to fight OR support anti-gun legislation it will not detract from the organizations which are actively fighting for gun rights.
There will never be an organization that we agree 100% with. Look at what it is taking to take the republican party from the CoC types. I do not believe in abandoning the cause, I choose to fight for it.I have not donated to NRA since they lobbied for the ban on new machine guns.
And leave us with no national representation to the fed and state legislatures? Not for me.I would prefer they go back to their roots of education, training, and competition and leave the politics behind. I would also like to see them mail the annual financial report to life members as the used to do before Wayne LaPierre became EVP.
hear hear! Why not just stop the fraud (your word)?
You're the first one to cry "normalcy bias," but your defense of NRA leadership is positively steeped in it.
