I wandered down to Tell City to see some vintage / classic cars recently.

The local Waupaca factory had a booth set up, and I took a look at their products.

I found out that,

1) Waupaca in Tell City has been running an employment ad in the local paper for a few months now.

2) They are moving from 12-hour shifts to 8-hour shifts. so they need more workers.

3) They have high turnover.

4) It's not for timid people.

for damn sure #4 is true. ive never worked or even been to the plant. BUT a friend of mines cousin was killed in that plant. any forging and/or casting plant is a VERY dangerous place. from what i hear there is a reason that they cant fill job openings.
