...Whoever left that door unlocked belongs at the top of the list people who are partially culpable.
The outside door, as well as the classroom door. (The door that the tactical team was brought in to breach, wasting critical time.)
That is just the fatal example of the nonchalance the school's whole security policy is regarded and treated. All the policy and rules and laws are only are good as someone practicing them. Lowest common denominator...
There are so so so many things that could have been done to train everyone on school staff to default to good security practices.
Makes one wonder about our own schools? Are ALL staff serious about practicing security? Are there fail safes in place to protect against the ignorant?
