Trump attempted to respond to the covid scam with restrictions on travel, specifically in the early stages. He was labeled a xenophobe for his efforts. He expressed his belief in alternative treatments for the illness (he claimed he used such alts). He was labeled a heretic for his "horse paste" theories. Trump was advised (by 'Science!') he needed EMS supplies such as ventilators to be produced with rapid urgency. Most of those vents went unused. Trump was advised (by 'Science!) that a cure could be produced at "Warp Speed".
It turns out that cure (by Science!) had been developed decades earlier but could never be marketed due to safety concerns. What in the Hell was Trump supposed to do, given the scam? When it comes to Trump and his handling of the vidsanity response, Trump was a victim (of 'Science!).

When Trump was in office his political opponents, elected and otherwise, declared the vax unsafe. Those same people swore they'd never accept an injection of a "rushed" vaccine developed under Trump due to safety concerns. When Trump was gone, those same people demanded, required and forced the (same exact) vaccine be required of every U.S. citizen who wanted to be free. Blaming Trump for the response to the germ-fear scam known as Covid is a wrong position. Trump should quit taking credit for the vaccine and its benefits because it's a wrong position.

That is exactly what we have all been saying. He doesn't get blame here for what he did, but for keeping up the claims that what he did was the best response ever. He saved so many people by pushing through the vax.

Well there's some common ground. I can't stand the GOP, but it's a necessary evil in its current form. The sooner it is transformed into something the people can trust the better. I'm not sure Trump is the guy who’s gonna make people trust in anything though.

The founding fathers understood that the interests of the wealthy man and the interests of the common man are often opposed.

There has always been a struggle between the establishment and populism.

I think our two houses of congress were intended to address this fact, with the senate representing the interests of the landed gentry…today’s chamber of commerce republicans, and the house meant be a populist body.

The money required to get a seat has made both houses of congress servant to the establishment, regardless of party affiliation, and the populists wings are left in a perpetual minority.

Both parties in both houses are beholden to a few wealthy donors instead of their voters.

The founding fathers were themselves wealthy. What exactly are you referencing here?

I think our two houses of congress were intended to address this fact, with the senate representing the interests of the landed gentry…
The Senate represented the states until a constitutional amendment was passed making them mini presidents.

The wealthy donors cannot match the power of the people to fund the candidates but normalcy bias and the media drumbeat that they cannot beat the rich keeps them from exercising their power…

You are setting an interesting threshold. When Biden says something you disagree with but passes no laws and issues no EOs. Will see if the same principle applies.
The same principle applies to bidet‘s past statements that applies to Trump’s. If bidet complains about Abbott in TX that may or may not be his position if legislation were to be on his desk. Also there are differences between talking about something and official policy…

The retroactive "look-back" for statute of limitations on sexual assault civil lawsuits, passed specifically to target Trump, back when TDS had it's traditional meaning, lol, hits another Dem. And a big one. Too funny!

However, just to be clear, your original statement mentioned only laws and EOs. So what do you mean when you say official policy? Are we widening the scope?

Congress didn't listen to him, so it never happened.

Those darned RINOs always were thwarting Trump!
