You got lucky there! I'd say its time to get a new spare tire as well! I've been in the same situation a couple times in the last couple of months, definitely no fun!!

I was thinking more along the lines of a MIL spec 1911 for his birthday or Christmas depending on when my pocket book can afford it.

Haha you fail! I already had all mine but .308 and 300 win mag. The .308 is now taken care of, just gotta pick up a box of 300 win mag on Friday. Only other thing I could use is more 147 gr 9mm.

he also bought the truck when it was "new" as a gift for me!!!! And he said he wanted a 1911, a few weeks ago, so I figure it's a good deal. Plus he paid for 80% of my college and my work paid the other 20%!!!

So Five years of college + 1 new truck + 1 spare tire = 1 MIL spec 1911
