I gave up on EZ outs for this long ago due to what you have experienced. Exhaust bolts are harder than Chinese arithmetic after years of running at high temps. I try and get the broken bolt ground flat if possible....center punch (using a "Good" punch) and then a center drill. If I get any where near center it is just a patient process of going up one or two bit sizes at a time. When I get close I use a caping chisel and remove whats left while trying to save the threads. Not always successful.

Thanks for the offer on the burr tool.

I loved the betta I had, he'd come to the top of the tank and let you pet him.

Mine doesn't let me pet him, he was pretty active until I started getting brown algae...so I added an oto catfish to eat the algae. I guess it's going to take a bit to normalize again.

The last betta I had was in a 2 gallon bowl; I changed the water weekly and he didn't last too long after I noticed algae. I hope the oto clears up the algae.

Agreed....I did a 30% water change last night before adding the oto, and did another 30% today to clean up some gravel...I need a way to sweep gravel without doing water changes.

I think there is something that you can get. Might want to check at a pet store.

I hate to run, but I have to be up @ 5.

    Have a good evening!
