it's great that your dog saved your life, barked and woke you up because your house was engulfed in flames.. where was your smoke alarm? why was it not working? what would you have done if the dog had not woke you up?

banging my head on the wall here. Just heard that news story about the dog saving their life etc, yadda yadda... I stand behind my thoughts, smoke alarm?

I slept just about 5 hours.. so that is a so-so thing

best time to do it is fall, with starting fireplaces, furnaces etc on. I need to check mine too. We have ours hardwired into the alarm system, if it goes off monitronics call fire dept for us.
