    It's an old fashion red delicious. It was a grafted tree when it was a baby, but the graft died and it grew back from the root stock. It's 25 to 30 years old now. They look and taste similar to a gala apples, maybe not as sweet. My Boss used to work for an apple breeder and he said this is the kind of red delicous that we had before they started breeding them for looks instead of taste. :D
