Try some cardboard too.
Have you done a stab test too?

I always do a stab test on 3 or 4 inches of carboard will all my knives to test the lock and how comfortable the handle is with different grips.

You can also do Coldsteel style stabbing test, stab a pig, an AK magazine, a car etc.
