My Dad is having a coyote problem and is looking for a rifle. I didn't know if a .17 was enough rifle.

Yeah, I would, but he lives about 3-4 hours from TWB and 2 hours from me.

He only wants to spend about $350, so an AR is too expensive. He is looking for something with a scope for that, a .17 is probably about it.

Yep, or a used .223 bolt gun. But in that range a .17 HMR is the best he can probably do.
