    I got an unexpected new to me gun yesterday.....

    A relative broke the steering column mounted shifter lever on our 2nd car Monday......He felt badly about it and gave me a .38 +P S&W Bodyguard revolver...

    I told him to not worry about it, but he insisted. If the repair costs less than the value of the gun, I'll give it back to him.

    If the part that's broken is what I think it is, it will only cost me $150 plus an afternoon to fix it...I'm gonna tear into it over the weekend.

    This relative is a double disabled Vet who is just barely getting by, don't really want to take any money from him if I think it means he won't eat the last week of the month...If the repairs are cheap, I may just sell the revolver and bank it until the next time he needs money.
