Those 1917s are neat guns. It was smart as they were utilizing moonclips all the way back then, they should have learned back then that every revolver from that point forward should use moonclips also... There's still hope I guess.

It is similar but has the lanyard loop on the bottom of the grip. Very dark grips with "Property of the US Army" on the bottom of the barrel close to the cylinder.
