I think that was between the Teepee on the north end and Steak and Shake on the south end. Haven't been around there in a long time. That was back in the 70s.

Just north of the Tee-Pee.

We did a lot of street racing out of there. A lot.

You could see a lot of nice cars on that street over the course of a summer evening.

No visible drug use and no gun violence.

Occasional fisticuffs but not a lot more.

We cruised in a pack down from Speedway. Had a strong rivalry with the south and east side boys.
