Yep. Instead of doing gifts one side of her family just sponsors a family in need, they use today to go out and get deals on clothes and stuff for the family. At Christmas they go and deliver everything.

We used to do that as well. I do not know why that stopped.
Oh, I remember....I was dying and we were broke. Just never picked it back up when we recovered.
I am going to see if the spousal unit wants to do that this year. We have all of "Our" shopping done. There may still be time.
