Got the rail for the PTR and the dang screws won't fit. Rail came with 6-40 screws...makes sense, very common but the handguard from PTR is threaded 5-40. What soulless engineer would use an oddball 5-40 screw? All I have is 5-40 1 inch, I either have to cut some down or hit the hardware store.
Have you tried that out yet 451? I've always wanted to sbr one, but the price of .308 always talks me out of it.

Morning BnB!! Are ya all moved in yet?

Yeah, got moved in wednesday with GMan and TT's help. Couldn't have done it without them. Still unpacking and saving $ where I can. Have to pay December's rent in 2 days. Get paid on thursday but the entire check will be going toward rent. Probably have to sell a gun to break the cycle so I can save up for next month's rent. :faint:

I haven't gotten this one out yet but I have shot a FA version. I have a pretty good stockpile of surplus 308 I bought way back when for blasting ammo. I save the good PRVI for my FAL. Hopefully the SIG Brace will get here this week as well. And I am getting the paperwork together for SBR'ing it.

It is the ultimate for room clearing. You can shoot clean through 4 guys with one shot, and set fire to anyone within 6 feet of the muzzle.
The fireballs from those are amazing.

BnB, I used to work at U-Haul, it was a pretty easy gig. I worked there part time, they were flexible around my full-time job schedule. Doesn't pay a whole lot though.
