Before shutting off my coffee maker, I put the rest of my coffee in one of those insulated travel cups. It is still nice and hot. I know this is old news to the rest of the world, but pretty nifty to me.

if you pre-heat the mug with hot water it will dang near be hot all day

Morning klausm. The daughter has been telling me for years that her maker that has a fancy carafe (insulated pot) is the way to go instead of using the burner to keep it hot. Could she be right? That would be disturbing.

Morning klausm. The daughter has been telling me for years that her maker that has a fancy carafe (insulated pot) is the way to go instead of using the burner to keep it hot. Could she be right? That would be disturbing.

I have one like that for the camper and it works pretty well plus I try to avoid any glass in there if I can. Afraid to say but yes she is, kinda of, I still like to be able to see if there is any left so I still use a glass one in the house. I am also old and set in my ways

This maker is just an 8 cup, so I have changed enough for this year.
