I miss hearing coyotes. I've heard them a few times here, but it's rare. Used to hear them when I was camping down at Monroe. Nothing makes you hurry to "finish your business" out in the woods in the middle of the night like hearing a pack of coyotes yipping and yapping on the next ridge over!

I've had a hawk fly under my deck roof before! I've only heard screech owls around here though. I talk to them and call them in when I can.

I had a Horned owl grab my electronic caller one night while coyote hunting. It made it about 10' before dropping it back to the ground.

Scared the crap out of me.
