A couple of months ago, I picked up a couple boxes of Colibri sub-sonic .22lr ammo just to try. Just a few minutes ago I finally tried it out. I put one round in my bolt action "parlor gun" and shot it out in the back yard. Wow! It's quieter than my pellet gun by about half. I figured it would be quiet, but didn't know it would be that quiet. I could easily get away with plinking in the back yard and nobody would bat an eye. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for it and maybe pick up a few more boxes just to have on hand.

This stuff is made by Aguila.

Straight out of the rife. It's kind of an oddball - marked for 22 lr and 6.5 mm Flobert (which is about the same as a CB cap). It has a pretty long barrel though - probably 28" at least, and maybe longer. It's the top rifle in this pic:

Last night was dead in here apparently. I went to bed around 8:15 or 8:30 and there were only like 4 new posts this morning at 4:30 or so. Even the Gen Pol forum was pretty quiet, but I think everyone's walking on eggshells over there!
