My blood draw woman this morning... what can I say. She got a good flash put the tube in and then the blood stopped. So she pushed it in and out several times with no success, so then she started trying to go sideways (needle still in), back and forth several times. I never did see any more blood go through the line but she suddenly said she thought she had enough... It was a bit uncomfortable...

I really get pissy with them when they cant hit a vein 1st try. I'm pretty vocal about it also. I really get vocal when they "dig" with the needle. That sh*t is painful. I make them take it from the back of my hand now. Veins are easy to see and easy to hit.

    Howdy Expat btw

    Hello bc.
Apparently mine are hard. When I went to the Cleveland Clinic's blood draw department (and I would assume they draw a lot of blood there), they went down to my wrist to poke me.

I go to the lab in the same facility my cardiologist is in. I used to like the hotty nurses doing the job until they couldnt get done without tearing me up. I now ask for the veteran army medic that works there now. Hes good and quick. Gets it done the first time everytime. He said he spent 6yrs placing IVs in the back of moving vehicles or helicopters so hitting the veins sitting at a table is a breeze. He hasnt disappointed me yet. If hes off the day I need lab work I reschedule for when hes there.
